BRITTNEY'S MURDER THE REAL FACE OF A DEADLY DRUG TRADE

It was with great sadness that I read about the murder of Brittney Lee Irving, another victim of the drug trade. I was also concerned by your headline "One Run Too Many" which I felt implied to other young people that running drugs might be OK if you don't do it too and then get out once you've made your money.

As I read further my feelings changed slightly, so I went to Brittney's Facebook page. There I found a seemingly perfectly normal young woman enjoying life.

So what happened?

I hope all who read this story get the message and tell loved ones and friends that here is another victim of poor choices, greed, addiction and a lack of proper punishment for those behind such drug-running operations.

The perceived glamour of the drug business and the lifestyle has claimed many young lives in B.C. Why Brittney was involved -- if she was -- only she really knew. Now another family buries another murdered young person.

How do we stop it? If Brittney was here I think she could help us with that and save some lives.
